Early tip on under carriage maintenance

If you’re like me and you sit on a saddle for a long time then you have friction.

Sometimes a lot, sometimes not so much. But friction causes heat and heat causes chaffing and chaffing causes you to be not-so-happy in your saddle.

So a few things to do.

1. Wear shorts

2. Wear shorts with a good chamois

3. Use Enzo’s Button Hole Chamois cream liberally on every ride. If you don’t know how to use it go here and they will tell you how. If you want to buy it online go here.

If you want to sniff it and touch it before you buy it, go to Deerfield Cyclery in downtown Deerfield (they are one of our sponsors so visit often.)

Greg won’t apply it for you but he will supply it for you.

See you outside soon.

New Jerseys Ordered

Spring is just around the corner so to make sure we look good in the early season the new jersey order went out today. Not a big change from last year, keeping the same colors and color blocks. The back is where the biggest change takes place. We’ve added a big Veloist logo and our sponsor names.

Look for it soon on a street near you.

Stuesday in January

What a gift, 54F on the last Tuesday in January, how could you not take a ride. I was lucky enough to get out for a couple of hours with Stu, Robbie and George for a little ride around. The weather was amazing.

And if by some chance you were locked inside, I know your mind drifted to those mid-summer days when we have legs and lungs that do what we want them to. Ahhh, summer days and a Stuesday Ride with Stu and Robbie. Carefree and wandering around the rolling hills of southern Wisconsin. Does it get much better? I think not.

So here’s an oldie but goodie video I did from a Stuesday Ride not too long ago, when the days were warmer and the grass much greener. Get on those trainers, get to the gym, spring is almost here. Enjoy.
