Join me for a Cycling Artist Retreat

with No Comments

Join me in Lucca, Italy. Find out how!

We ride bikes all morning. We stop for lunch, sip wine, eat amazing food and breathe in the world around us.

We draw, we paint, we talk and laugh. We try new things, we let go of old things.

Maybe we sip more wine. Maybe we get back on our bicycles and ride back to our villa in Lucca. Or just take the van and a little nap.

And then we do it again, for six amazing days.

Did I mention, we’re in Tuscany!

It’s just an idea right now but like all good ideas you need to whisper them loud enough to spread them like a warm breeze on a Tuscan landscape. An idea needs to be nurtured and shaped.

The Idea

Join me for a Cycling Artist Retreat in Tuscany, late summer 2020.

With ten like minded new friends and with a world-class, national cycling champion guide to show us the way, this is like no other cycling trip. While other artist retreats may have yoga, we have drawing and painting!

You don’t need to be an experienced artist, we’ll supply all your materials. You don’t need to be an amazing cyclist, we will have a range of options and rides each day. You will want to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

We’ll rent a grand villa in Lucca, with great food and drink. You’ll ride as much or as little as you like. You’ll draw and paint as much or as little as you’d like.

The essence of the idea is to absorb the world around you. To drink in Italy.

I’ll paint with you for three hours each day. I’ll ride with you every day. We’ll talk and laugh and explore, but mostly we’ll learn let our thoughts go, stop thinking and let the world move our pens and brushes.

I’ve spent many amazing days drawing and painting in Europe and I’d love to share this experience with you. To find yourself in a location with no preconceived ideas, feel an inspiration and create an image. It’s priceless.

And yes, you will take many photographs every day, but the watercolor drawings you do will be cherished forever. They will find a special place of honor in your home, in your life.

Fill your paper with paint and your soul with memories.

I’m planning this trip now, its in the early stages. I’m looking for people that are willing to help me shape this trip. Your ideas. Early adopters as they say. Great artists and not so great artists, it matters not. We all have room to grow and learn from each other.

I don’t have dates. I don’t have the Villa address. I don’t have all the prices. Yet. But I can say from experience that with a trip like this you’ll find no better way to recharge yourself, your marriage, your creative juices – your love of life.

Join me and share a new experience in cycling.

Get in touch early and let’s talk, let me know you’re interested in learning more — once I post the final trip details I know it will fill quickly. If you’re interested don’t wait long to contact me.
