The Giro d’Italia stage 13 on Friday was a mountain stage that ended in the medieval city of Friuli. I was taken with the beauty of this little city in the mountains of northeast Italy. With centuries old buildings and bridges the modern peloton seemed out of place as it found it’s way through and around the city with plenty of fans to cheer them on.
My drawings may not depict what really happened but in my mind it’s always better that way. I like to make things up. Real or imagined the scenes I’ve drawn attempt to capture a moment in time where history stands still.
