On Monday night, October 5th I was invited to be the featured artist at an art auction benefitting the Mass Bike Coalition.
I had a blast!
Okay, so first I have to say I never see my work outside of the studio – that alone was fun. And to see it on display with people checking it out – that was fun. But then to have supporters of MassBike bid on the work – that was over the top for me. Yes, my head swelled a bit.
But most importantly the work helped raise money so the great people of MassBike could continue their cycling advocacy work. Under the direction of Executive Director Richard Fries and his team, along with his awesome auctioneering skills the night was a huge success.
If you’re a cyclist in Massachussettes and you’re looking for a group to support then you should consider becoming a member of this terrific organization.
