Put the phone camera down, take out the pen and brush.

Just imagine this…You find yourself landing in Paris and we meet up at a small boutique hotel. We stay a day or two. We get some bicycles and roll around, stop at a cafe, draw some little pictures. Smile a lot, laugh even more. Maybe drop into a museum, they have a few good ones.

The next day we get on a train to the south of France near the Pyrenees, find a great little place I know where your every wish is taken care of. We can do some easy rides, discover local villages, sit, enjoy, draw, paint – slow down. Or if you need to test your legs you can take I ride up the Col du Tourmalet, or the Col d’Aspin. Both are temptingly close by.

And who knows, this goes on for a few days and then the Tour de France just happens by, or we head over to a few other little gem locations I know. It’s all custom for you, and all about slowing down and really sinking into the landscape. It will change you forever.

“I want to ride my bike hard, but my partner wants to go slow.” Don’t worry. I’m not going to suffer up the Tourmalet with you. If you want to ride hard you’ll have a profession cycling guide to keep you company. I’m here for the slow roll. I’m with you and your group to share my experiences of the area. My knowledge as a location artist. But most of all I want to share how sitting still in a beautiful place gets even better when you stop and draw the moment. Drink in the air, the sounds and of course the wine.

“I love to draw and paint, but I’m not a professional.” Then this is your trip. It’s not about the painting you finish. Art is really about the experience of creating. I can’t make you draw better in a week but I sure can help you learn to let go and not care so much. My roll is to help you find the unique part of you, and let the drawing just fall out. I can and will get you to slow down. And promise your twenty or thirty watercolor sketches we do that week will be a cherished keepsake. Not like the pictures still stuck in your iPhone from your last trip. We are making memories that will last a very, very long time.

“How many can go on this trip with you?” If you have a large group of say twelve, it might be just your group. My favorite place can hold up to twelve guests with some sharing rooms. There are some private two person rooms available also. So it easily works for some single guests sharing space and some couples that want more privacy. Every booking is unique.
