Giro d’Italia Cycling Art – New Work Everyday
Welcome to my training days during the Giro d’Italia – 100th Edition where I’m working on creating a new drawing and posting it every day as I get ready for my big trip to France for the Tour de France in July!
So here’s the deal.
I’m creating a new drawing based on what I can gather from watching the Giro every day here in the studio. Then I post it and share with you all. If you like something — you can purchase any of these for a special price of $175 — just be first to contact me and it’s yours!
And if you look closely, not that it matters to you, I’m experimenting with various pencils, inks and colors as I draw because I need to find the best materials and papers to bring with me into the field — in FRANCE!!
Stage 1 – “Miracle”
Nobody saw this coming when Lukas Postlberger, Bora-Hansgrohe, stole the day from the sprinters! It was truly a miracle.
Stage 2 “Pink Balloons”
After all the talking about so many pink balloons floating around with the fans, I finally figured out what they could be used for — a better view!
Stage 3 “Windy Day”
It was a long stage set for the sprinters but the winds on Sardinia proved too much for everyone except Bob Jungels (Quick-Step Floors) — it seems the Belgium’s know how to deal with the wind as he pulled them all to the line to have his teammate Gaviria take the stage win and the Pink Jersey!
