Into the wind.

A massive week.

Training for the Duchenne Dash is going very well, I’m still hitting all my mileage goals, slowly but I’m getting the miles I need. With the windy spring weather we’ve had my biggest challenge seems to be finding good days to ride. So wind or not, I ride.

First century in 5 years

Last Thursday I had finished my planned 85 mile route and felt I could ride more, so I did. It was the first century ride I’ve done in at least five years, maybe more. And my friend Scott called it a “Dirty, Solo, Century” – I liked that, thanks Scott. “Doigt dans le nez” (translates loosely to ( “easypeezzy with fingers stuffed up my nose” – eh, French )

And what I may lack in speed I make up in tenacity, just keep peddling is my mantra, I’m hoping it will work for me in France in a few weeks.

Getting the job done.

I’m very dedicated to getting the job done, riding the miles I need to complete the London to Paris Duchenne Dash 2024. I’d love to also get the fundraising job done and could really use your support. I know you can help, and then when you watch the videos of the ride that I post, you’ll be a bigger part of it — you’ll be the part that really counts to help the children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Please be a part of my ride – be a part of helping with a small donation.

I am asking you, my friends, relatives, and supporters of my cycling art for support in this effort. It isn’t an easy ask. I know you have many other charities asking for donations and you can’t give to them all. I get it, I’m in the same place. But if you have just a few dollars it helps – it adds up. It makes a difference.

Please find a way to make a small contribution the work being done by the Duchenne UK. Their thankless devotion to saving lives depends greatly on your kindness and generosity.

I thank you. Duchenne UK thanks you. The parents of these children thank you. The children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy thank you.

Can you help me do more?

As I get stronger I worry less about the ride and more about how I can really help the DuchenneUK.org It’s not really about the ride, it’s about raising funds to battle this terrible disease. And I can really use your help.
