“My bike can take me anywhere, but my pen will take me everywhere.”
Welcome to the bicycle art of Michael Valenti. Where my work puts a fresh twist on old-school Cycling Posters.
With unique whimsy and charm I hope my original drawings, paintings and bicycle art prints of Iconic Races, Places and Faces of Cycling brings the wonderful world of bicycle art to art lovers around the world.
I travel the globe chasing the peloton from the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and Tour Down Under, to the famous climbs of Tourmalet, Ventoux, Stelvio and Alpe d’Huez, in search of inspiration and to experience the rich history, passion and excitement of cycling.
“You keep watching, I’ll keep drawing — Vive le Tour!”
Michael Valenti has been creating images and advertising campaigns as an Art Director, Designer and Illustrator for more than thirty-five years. From Fortune 500 companies to small wineries in Michigan, his work creates an emotional connection to a brand, strengthening the bond and making the sale.
Compelling story telling, emotional images, smart design; Michael’s work–simply works.
“As a Creative Director in the marketing business I have created advertising and design solutions for clients like Allstate, McDonald’s, Kellogg’s and Hallmark. Creating simple, enduring, big ideas that connect with consumers on an emotional level is what I do best.”
Mike’s client list includes Allstate, McDonald’s, Eli Lilly, Hallmark, Disney, Morgan Stanley, Pillsbury, Kraft, Kellogg’s and Procter & Gamble. Mike has also worked his magic on smaller clients, including Timberland, Carnival Cruise Lines and the Round Barn Winery.
Mike worked in Boston close to where he grew up, before spending 15 years at the Leo Burnett Company in Chicago before setting out on his own.
Being a former Creative Director has given Michael the experience to work well with private corporate clients, event companies and passionate bicycle art fans directly.
Michael welcomes any opportunities to share his work on commissions and design projects. Feel free to inquire.
