I create web sites, brand marks and big ideas.
You may think I draw pictures of bicycles all day – I don’t – I do much more that that as an ex-ad agency Executive Creative Director working independently for ten years now.
And yes, I do spend a fair amount of time drawing and selling my cycling art but I’m always looking for new design projects to tackle. And not just cycling related. My work has been in so many categories I can’t even count.
My sweet spot is with projects where I help clients make stronger human connections with their customers. With a history of developing creative work for McDonald’s, Hallmark and Allstate Insurance I’m pretty well versed in finding the human side of a story. See Ronald McDonald House
I’ve been lucky enough to work with many start-up companies by creating new brand images for them or breathing a new life into an older one. I’d say my bread and butter is in small to mid sized company makeovers. These are the design projects that use my experience best. Most of them include brand strategy, logo design, website design and my favorite, a big brand idea. See Ohio State Lottery
I work with some pretty talented people on these projects, with disciplines in copy writing, brand strategy, web programming, research and of course social media. On occasion I work alone, but most projects need very specific talent for the job and working with the top team I’ve cultivated is very rewarding.
One of the very best things about today’s technology is that creative people like me can be global from the home studio. I ship my Cycling Art everywhere of course. But I also work with clients from all over the planet.
Laithwaite’s a wine company based in the UK. See Laithwaite’s Wine
Jones Lang LaSalle a global real estate company in Taiwan. See JLL
IndigoVision a global security solutions company in Scotland. See IndigoVision
The Gran Fondo New Jersey an event company in NJ. See GFNJ
And of course I do work for lots of companies in the states and closer to home in Chicago.
The point of all this is really to share what I do with you in the event you or your company may like to work with a versatile creative resource (me) that can bring years of big agency experience to the table, without breaking your budget.
And we can always talk about bikes on the side, I probably even draw a picture for you.
