Stage 9 of this years 2019 Giro d’Italia may very well be a turning point in the race for the GC. As the big contenders look to gain time before heading into the final week of mountain drama. All eyes will be on the GC contenders as they Individual-Time-Trial their way from Riccione, on the Adriatic Sea to the famous city of wine, San Marino!

World Championship Track London | Cycling Art Print
The UCI World Championship Track Cycling will take place in London, March 2016. Sure to be a highlight of the track cycling season as always.
As a commemorative poster to mark the event Michael created this Track Cycling, Bearskin wearing whimsical character as tribute. Sporting the Colors of the UCI World Champion our ever vigilant rider watches over his shoulder keeping an eye on the competition.

Strade Bianche 2007 | Valenti Bicycling Poster
A possible Monument?
Strade Bianche is a classic road race with gravel sectors in Tuscany. Starting in Siena and ending in Siena after torturing riders for some 215 kilometers every spring since 2007. Some say it should be a Cycling Monument, like Paris-Roubaix or LBL. I say give it a few more years, if it survives, say 25, then make it a monument. Until then, it’s a damn good one day race I love watching.

Sanremo, Italy sits along the sun drenched shores of the Ligurian Sea, a part of the Mediterranean. And it is the final sprint location for the Milano Sanremo Cycling Monument.

Pavé | Watercolor Bicycling Art Print
This Valenti Watercolor Bicycling Art Print was created to celebrate the Spring Classics like Paris-Roubaix held on cobbles every year. It is available here without text.
The Pavé (Cobblestones), make up a vital part of the Paris-Roubaix race route. With stones as large as “baby heads” according to the Belgians, these brutal, rural roads just eat bicycles, wheels and riders. Saved from the horrible fate of being smoothed over with asphalt, the pavé are here to stay.
Paris-Roubaix just wouldn’t be the same without the stones. This print was made from an original watercolor painting.

With the first three days of the Vuelta starting in the Netherlands and finishing in Spain, this was the inspiration behind my Vuelta Red Bull and Windmill watercolor bicycling poster. The big red bull chases the peloton tilting at windmills as he goes. Bright, emotional, exciting are the words to describe the Vuelta and this print.

The Saeco Cycling Team, was famous for the most wildly dynamic and entertaining Mario Cipollini, so I’ve just combined him with caffé!
Always at the front of the peloton, in a muscle skin suit or screaming bright colors, Cipo craved the spotlight, so why not as a cup of coffee. My world, my rules.

Tour de France 2021 | Triomphe | Cycling Art Print
Brest to Paris!
The 2021 Tour de France will kick off in Brest, France this year as it races across the French countryside trying to make us all forget about 2020, the Tour turned upside down. With a start in Brittany, then on to the Alps and finally the Pyrenees before the finish in Paris. Vive le Tour!
I’ve given this years Tour de France print a slightly more retro look that dates back to the famous Paris-Brest-Paris races starting back in 1891.

On the west coast of France is one of the most magical places you could ever visit, some say the 8th wonder of the world. Mont Saint Michel has endured for over a thousand years and in 2016 was the location for Le Grand Depart for the Tour de France. Vuelta 2025 | Running from 23 August to 14 September 2025, La Vuelta 25 will be made up of 21 stages and will cover a total distance of 3151 kilometers. Starting in Turin, Italy and finishing in Madrid, Spain.
Traditionally known as a grand tour that favors the strongest climbers, it is always filled with dramatic and exciting stages. It’s this wild energy and untamed spirit that has inspired Michael Valenti’s artistic interpretation of a matador cyclist.

He’s been compared to the great Eddie Merckx and many other cycling stars. He’s won just about every winners jersey you can think of and always hungry for more. A true competitor.
This image was inspired by all the jerseys of the Tour de France and the World Championships Rainbow jersey. He’s worn them all. I carefully stitched the patterns together to make this one of a kind unique graphic image.

Cycling Monument
MilanoSanremo was first raced in 1907 as one of the five Cycling Monument races. It is the longest of all the monuments at 298 kilometers – that’s a whopping 185 miles! Being so early in the racing calendar it’s a tough race to be on form. But if you do make it over the Poggio, the final climb you’re able to sprint for victory on the sun drenched shores of the Ligurian Sea, a part of the Mediterranean.
“La Classicissima” – The Spring Classic is the longest professional one-day race in modern cycling.
