RVV Tour of Flanders | Cycling Art Print
The Tour of Flanders (Dutch – Ronde van Vlaanderen), is an annual road cycling race held in Belgium every spring. It’s considered the most important cycling race in Flanders, and is part of the UCI World Tour. First held in 1913 it’s a must watch Spring Classic.
Today it is one of the five monuments of cycling, and one of the two major Cobbled classics, anticipating Paris–Roubaix, which is on the calendar one week after the Tour of Flanders. It’s a hard race for hard riders that love the cold, the wet and the stones.
I’ve given this Cycling Art Print the look of a classic lithograph print by using grease pencil to draw the image and hand painting the color with water colors.

Ventoux Moonscape | Cycling Art Print
Paysage Lunaire
The famed climb to the summit of Mont Ventoux has been a part of the Tour de France since the beginning, and featured again in 2013 for the 100th edition of the race. Known as the infamous “Moonscape,” this cycling art poster commemorates the return of the classic climb to the centennial edition of the tour.

Paris-Roubaix 2019 | Cycling Art Print
The Queen of the Classics
Paris-Roubaix is such a special day it requires a special print. The prints have the look of vintage lithography, a style of printing made very popular during the height of the cycling posters era. I can not completely duplicate (yet) lithography printing but this has a similar look of that time period.

The Col du Tourmalet – 2115 meters of relentless climbing. Located in the Pyrenees, the Tourmalet is a frequent key stage of the Tour de France.
I’ve ridden up this monster and yes, Hors Catégorie is a fitting label.

Paris-Roubaix | Pavé-Rainbow | Valenti Bicycling Poster
You must love the Stones.
Paris-Roubaix, one of the five cycling monuments and my personal favorite. It is defined by the rough cobbles that make up much of the demanding route. I’ve just added a bit of playful color with a combination of bold brush work, pallet knives and some poured paint in the black outlines. Let this colorful addition to your home remind you how much you love The Queen of the Classics, Paris-Roubaix.

Trouée d’Arenberg | Valenti Cycling Art Print
The entrance to hell.
The Trouée d’Arenberg or Tranchée de Wallers-Arenberg is a 2.3 km long cobbled road in the municipality of Wallers in Northern France, in the Département Nord. – Ha!
But it’s so much more than that, it is a beast of a cobbled road in the heart of the Paris-Roubaix classic, a killer of a road, a game maker or breaker. Since it’s inclusion into the Hell of the North the Arenberg trench has changed the outcome of many, many races. Ghastly at best, simply diabolical at it’s wet and muddy worst.
I painted this image on a calm spring morning with sunshine and happiness, it still destroyed the peloton. Man I love this race.

Eddy Merckx is the undisputed all-time biggest winning professional bike rider on the planet. He has had competitors but not many. Five times winning the Tour de France. Five times winning the Giro d’Italia. Seven times winning Milan-San Remo, three times conquering the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix and the list goes on to a stunning 525 professional wins.
Nicknamed “The Cannibal” for his insatiable appetite for winning, Eddy Merckx came to the start line to gobble up the competition and only to win.
It took me a while to finalize this image, and if you’re wondering about the “heart” dimple, well thats my little nod to his master frame builder, Ugo De Rosa.

Sparta Wisconsin, Bicycling Capitol of America – Sparta is a small midwest town in the center of Wisconsin surrounded by endless miles of great cycling roads and trails. Solitude | Valenti Original Art Print
Full immersion.
I ride my bike by myself but I am never alone. I am always surrounded by wonder. And the world of my imagination. The quiet of the snow falling is deafening. The steadiness of my breathing and the turn of the crank keep time. The squeak of the snow under my tires tells me its cold but I don’t feel it. My world is most full when it is empty.
“Solitude” is the third of my large landscape paintings. It is 72×48 inches acrylic on canvas and makes you just want to go outside and ride. To find your happy place on a bicycle. To find your piece of perfection that makes you love what you do, who you are and where you live. I know how you feel, I’m just like you. The work you do on a bicycle is a work of love, there is no pain only full immersion into the landscape, into the world you are living in.

Giro d’Italia 2022 | Valenti Cycling Poster
A vintage travel style poster.
The 2022 Giro d’Italia starts on May 6 in Budapest, Hungry and ends three weeks later in Verona, Italy.
I’ve been to Verona which is why I decided to create this years Giro Cycling Poster with the colosseum as the main image. With pale pink and blue skies, ominous dark columns as the road, this watercolor painting makes a powerful statement celebrating the 105th Giro d’Italia.
