Long live the Tour de France! The French Coq is a symbol of strength and power, it’s also the official bird of France which is why I chose it for this year’s 2022 Tour de France Cycling Art Poster. The Italian Grand Tour first organized in 1909 is the first grand tour of the UCI professional season in Europe. Made famous by the likes of Gino Bartali and Fausto Coppi when Italian riders dominated for the first forty years of the race. The Italians love their annual race across the mountains and valleys of beautiful Italy. Cheering on the leaders and the man in the “Maglia Rosa” the Pink Jersey of the race leader.

RVV Tour of Flanders | Cycling Art Print
The Tour of Flanders (Dutch – Ronde van Vlaanderen), is an annual road cycling race held in Belgium every spring. It’s considered the most important cycling race in Flanders, and is part of the UCI World Tour. First held in 1913 it’s a must watch Spring Classic.
Today it is one of the five monuments of cycling, and one of the two major Cobbled classics, anticipating Paris–Roubaix, which is on the calendar one week after the Tour of Flanders. It’s a hard race for hard riders that love the cold, the wet and the stones.
I’ve given this Cycling Art Print the look of a classic lithograph print by using grease pencil to draw the image and hand painting the color with water colors.

Velo Cafe | Cycling Art Print

In the town of Cable, Wisconsin there is a wonderful little shop you must visit – Vélo Cafe.
And what you’ll find when you walk inside is a friendly place to warm your frozen parts after hours on skies, or mountain biking through some of the best trails in the midwest. But if you never make it to Cable, you can still own a little bit of their charming cafe for your own home. Stay warm. Ride safe. Eat well.

Paris-Roubaix 2019 | Cycling Art Print
The Queen of the Classics
Paris-Roubaix is such a special day it requires a special print. The prints have the look of vintage lithography, a style of printing made very popular during the height of the cycling posters era. I can not completely duplicate (yet) lithography printing but this has a similar look of that time period.

Merckx Legend | Cycling Art Print
A cyclist for all times.
Eddy Merckx is the undisputed all-time biggest winning professional bike rider on the planet. He has had competitors but not many. Five times winning the Tour de France. Five times winning the Giro d’Italia. Seven times winning Milan-San Remo, three times conquering the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix and the list goes on to a stunning 525 professional wins.
Nicknamed “The Cannibal” for his insatiable appetite for winning, Eddy Merckx came to the start line to gobble up the competition and only to win.
It took me a while to finalize this image, and if you’re wondering about the “heart” dimple, well thats my little nod to his master frame builder, Ugo De Rosa.
