Eddy Merckx won the 1972 Liege-Bastogne-Liege classic while wearing the World Champions Jersey. I rather liked that it doesn’t happen often, except last Sunday.
A more realistic likeness of cycling legend Eddy Merckx is a departure and a challenge for me, I’ll have to try another. This is mixed media, pen, water colors and acrylic paints.
The work was done on a stretched canvas, it will be removed for shipping and rolled. The buyer will have to have it re-stretched for framing or trimmed and mounted for framing. Both are simple procedures your frame shop is capable of doing for you. If you have any questions just send me a note.
