This year the 2016 Tour de France will start in the shadow of Mont Saint Michel as it travels around the country for the month of July. This dramatic backdrop has been host to other Tour race days and no doubt will offer us breathtaking vistas of the peloton racing away from this historic location.
My vintage flavored drawing of this poster uses the Red, White and Blue of the French flag along with the “Maillot Jaune” – Yellow Jersey. Complete with goggles, a spare tire and of course a handlebar mustache our cyclist represents the romantic era of the Tour de France classic days of cycling.
This cycling art print comes in three sizes on high quality watercolor paper and will be rolled and shipped to you ready for framing.

This print was commissioned by the Carten 100 Team to raise funds with an obvious connection in the rider with the tail and eye of the Welsh Dragon.
CARTEN100 is not a race, but a fun day out with more experienced riders helping and encouraging those who have less experience and confidence. Each year, riders return fitter and keener and on newer, better bikes but they bring their friends, family and work colleagues with them to enjoy the challenge.
From the outset of CARTEN100 the two main objectives of this fun cycle are to set an achievable challenge for novice riders to encourage them to become fit and enjoy cycling, and to raise money for good causes – almost ‘half a million pounds’ raised so far!

The Grand Depart from Brussels is on the way to Paris, with this years TdF Legend Eddy Merckx at the front everyday of the Tour.
Seeing the great one, in Brussels with my own eyes was the inspiration for this year’s TDF Cycling Art Print.

My first Tour Down Under has inspired many new drawings and paintings and this Aboriginal “Dot” painting style Cycling Art Print to commemorate the event. The natural earth tones background color acts as a perfect offset to the UCI logo colored dots.
As I stood in the blazing summer heat of January with Ride International Tours on Willunga Hill for the Queens Stage, I created the original drawing idea for this print. It was purchased on the spot by a spectator. You can own a copy of the print for your personal collection.

Sparta Wisconsin, Bicycling Capitol of America – Sparta is a small midwest town in the center of Wisconsin surrounded by endless miles of great cycling roads and trails. Best known for the Elroy – Sparta Trail along the old rail road beds. Miles of carefree cycling, with great tunnels through the hills, so yes, it’s flat like you like it.

The Tour of Flanders (Dutch – Ronde van Vlaanderen), is an annual road cycling race held in Belgium every spring. It’s considered the most important cycling race in Flanders, and is part of the UCI World Tour. First held in 1913 it’s a must watch Spring Classic.
Today it is one of the five monuments of cycling, and one of the two major Cobbled classics, anticipating Paris–Roubaix, which is on the calendar one week after the Tour of Flanders.
It’s a hard race for hard riders that love the cold, the wet and the stones.
I’ve given this Cycling Art Print the look of a classic lithograph print by using grease pencil to draw the image and hand painting the color with water colors.

Every year the Tour de France races through the hearts and souls of cycling fans worldwide, and 2018 will be no different. With it’s hero’s and villains, contenders and long-shots the Tour de France is filled with history, courage and passion played out on two wheels. I simply love it.
This special Tour de France 2018 Cycling Art Print pays homage to Stage 21 of the tour, when the sprinters have their last chance for glory on the Champs-Elysées — and I’ll be there again, to witness history.
