I was recently asked by VeloNews Art Director Mike Reisel and editor Neal Rogers to create an illustration dramatizing an article called “An Inside Job” written by Andrew Hood. The work is now available in the April print edition of VeloNews magazine. And I couldn’t be happier with the result.
The editorial goes on to talk about the “sport’s stormy past” and the efforts being made by the teams, riders and sponsors of professional cycling to clean up the peloton. As a long-time fan of pro cycling I’ve heard this before but my optimistic side thinks this may be the time it really happens.
For me personally this assignment was near and dear to my heart. As I look to do more work in the cycling industry, I’m grateful that VeloNews offered me this big visible stage and I hope the reviews are favorable so you see more of my work in the sport’s premier publication.
