Cyclocross is one of the fastest growing categories in the cycling industry. The sport is finding new fans from traditional road cycling circles and urban cyclists that just love to play in the mud. And unlike bicycle road races, the spectators at a cyclocross event can watch all of the action while drinking a beer and eating a brat. No wonder it’s getting more popular with advertisers looking to connect with this affluent group of consumers.
Already a big sport in Europe, cyclocross enthusiasts ride around a closed loop with hundreds of other riders. Run up stairs and hills; jump small barriers and mash through the mud. Cyclocross is a blast and so we were very excited when series promoter Joan Hanscom let us create this event poster for the 2012 Trek U.S. Gran Prix Cyclocross series.
The series takes place in four different locations around the country, September thru December. The riders gain points over the course of the events and a winner is crowned in each category. Check out Trek US Grand Prix Cyclocross and maybe we’ll see you at an event, beer in hand.
