I’m off to London to visit the “Jens”
On Saturday September 7th, 2019 Jens Voigt will return for the seventh edition of the “Shut Up Legs Charity Ride” in aid of the Epilepsy Society.
I’ll be there to ride with him and the generous supporters of this charity event.
Stuart Grace (GA Cycles), the ride organizer has returned to the picturesque New Forest to host the event again this year.
A local fundraiser, Stuart is also the father of Amy, who has suffered with Epilepsy, ADHD and learning disabilities for over 21 years.
Throughout their long-standing friendship with Jens, Stuart and Amy have received incredibly generous support over the history of “Shut Up Legs”.
This is my third year as a supporter and my first time visiting the UK for the event. On the day of the ride I’ll be drawing and painting as much as time allows after the ride. These drawings will be signed originals and I’m sure Jens will sign them also. After that, they will be put up for sale by auction. Every little bit helps.
The event poster and kit design was also part of my contribution to raise funds for the Epilepsy Society UK. I’m going to guess there may also be other merchandise for sale on the day, perhaps even before.
I’d like to thank Stuart and Jens for allowing me to have a small role in helping support their event. I’m lucky to be able to help in my own way, one small doodle at a time.
